3. Straight to Employment
It is possible for students to go straight into employment but until they are 18, they must follow some
form of training or education alongside the paid work. This can be at a college or 6th form or some other
programme that counts as full time education such as an apprenticeship/traineeship. This should
equate to a day per week and has to lead to some form of recognised qualification.
4. Unifrog and Keeping Records
As your child moves through Year 9, we are beginning to lay the foundations for their future success. To
support this, all students now have access to Unifrog4the "complete destinations platform." This
digital tool helps students bridge the gap between their current schoolwork and their future careers.
Unifrog allows students to record transferable skills and competencies (such as leadership,
problem-solving, and teamwork) as they develop them. By starting this process in Year 9, students
create a "bank" of evidence that will be invaluable in the future for:
● Drafting CVs for part-time jobs or work experience.
● Writing Personal Statements for college, sixth form, or university.
● Preparing for interviews with real-life examples of their achievements.
