At present we are looking at options for vocational study for next year. We are
hoping to offer Motor vehicles, Construction and/or other 1 year qualification to
those that are interested in taking these subjects post-16. We will be speaking to
students about these courses but if you feel your child would be interested in one of
these, please contact Mrs Smyth.
1) For construction/motor vehicles, we are looking at trialling a third party
offering and the possibility of a Level 1 certification at the end of the course. This
will take place at RMS.

2) We run a Vocational Support option which is via invitation. This will allow
students to take one less GCSE and spend extra time on Mathematics, English
and other subjects along with completing homework. There is also a more
pastoral element to these sessions.
We are looking at the potential to offer Level 1 qualifications for the Motor vehicles
and Construction courses.

These Vocational 14-16 Courses in Construction and motor vehicles are designed as
a stepping stone to a post-16 study and onwards towards a specific career and
should only be chosen by students if they are continuing with the content after RMS.
