Home/School Communications
As per the Robert May’s Home School Communication Policy, visitors should not come
on site to meet with a member of staff without an appointment. If Parents/Carers
need to speak to a member of staff at school, they can contact Reception on 01256
702700 or email info@rmays.com and mark it for the attention of the member of
staff. The member of staff will then organise a convenient time to call or meet with the
parent/carer. Alternatively Parents/Carers can email or phone to request a face-to-face
appointment. Staff are unable to see visitors who turn up to school without a prior
appointment.

Headteacher Open Door Surgery
There are weekly ’Headteacher Open Door Surgery’ appointments which take place
every Friday from 3.15pm. Each appointment lasts 15 minutes. The link to book an
appointment is shared weekly in the Parent Bulletin and can also be found here. When
booking an appointment, please ensure the child’s full name and year group is listed in
the description field, along with the reason for booking the appointment.
Parent Bulletins and News
Parent Bulletins are sent every week on a Friday and contain important information on
what has happened during the week in addition to highlighting important events and
dates to note that are coming up in the future. The News page of the website highlights
recent successes, school news and trips and visits.
School Calendar
The School Calendar lists all upcoming term dates, events, parents evenings and trips
and visits. Parents/Carers should check this page regularly to ensure they don’t miss
anything relevant to their child’s year group.
Digital Learning Apps and Websites
At Robert May’s School, we use a range of Educational Apps and Websites to support
learning. Guidance for these apps can be found on the Digital Learning page of the
website.
