Beyond the Classroom
House Structure
Every student and member of staff is in a ‘House’. This is an additional layer to the
pastoral support students get from their Form Tutor and Year Team and is in place to
develop fun and a sense of pride in the school.
Each House will compete in a variety of activities from sport, drama, music, art and
debating. These will provide students with an opportunity to increase participation,
cooperation and to be involved with students from all year groups as they have fun trying
to win points for their House. Each House will also work throughout the year towards
their chosen charity and look at how they can positively give back to the community.
There are lots of opportunities for students to compete for their House, lead within
their House and support their House in winning the House Cup.
